We expect a new era to kick-off on WWE RAW starting from last night. Multiple new champions emerged at Summerslam to change the scene.
They began their reign on the flagship show with new challenges coming their way. Also, there were fallouts from Summerslam leading to the Hell in a Cell PPV. Here are the results from the show hosted by the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Roman Reigns kicked off WWE Raw in a usual mixed reaction. The crowd started chanting ‘you still suck’ to continue the adverse reactions. But the Universal Champion promised to be a fighting champion and couldn’t wait to defend the title every night. He decided to give Finn Balor an opportunity since he never lost the title.
Baron Corbin came out trying to ruin the match. But Kurt Angle confirmed it to be the main event of WWE Raw. He also put Corbin in the opening match against Bobby Lashley. The Dominator started the match with a neckbreaker. Corbin came back with a chokeslam backbreaker. But Lashley hit Corbin’s face hard into the mat for the win.
Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Ember Moon teamed up to take on against The Riott Squad. Sasha got the hot tag and cleaned house on all the Squad members. Morgan broke one pinfall attempt, as Moon gave her a suplex. Logan took care of Bayley with a clothesline. Ruby Riott hit the Riott Kick on Sasha inside the ring to win the match on WWE Raw.
Elias was in the ring for his musical segment. Curt Hawkins interrupted him challenging in a match. Elias gave him a big knee following it with the Drift Away for the win. Titus WorldWide took on against the Authors of Pain again on WWE Raw. The team of Akam and Rezar picked up the win by double-teaming on Apollo.
Triple H made an appearance on WWE Raw hyping-up the upcoming WWE Super Show Down. He cut a promo about Summerslam weekend being great. The talents energised him to lace up the boots yet again on October 8th. It is why he will go up against The Undertaker in MCG, Australia. Fans can expect the goosebumps to be back on that night.
Dean Ambrose took on against Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match. A ringside chaos broke out, as Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre started fighting at the ringside. Rollins put away Drew with a suicidal dive. Ziggler went for a super-kick to Dean but missed. Thereafter, Dean threw him into the air and converted it into a Dirty Deeds for his returning win on WWE Raw.
Stephanie McMahon was present on WWE Raw to host a women’s title presentation. She talked about the Evolution PPV and wanted Ronda Rousey to come out. The new champion was least interested in shaking Stephanie’s hand. So the commissioner blasted her for ripping people’s arms. Moments later, Ronda put on the arm-bar on Stephanie to force her tap out.
The B-Team was out on WWE Raw to compete in singles contests. Bo Dallas took on against Scott Dawson. It ended in a losing effort after Dawson hit Dallas with a DDT. Curtis Axel competed against Dash Wilder, as the latter one picked up the win with a face-drop.
Roman Reigns defended his Universal Championship against Finn Balor in the main event of WWE Raw. Braun Strowman provided the distraction during the match. But Reigns countered a Coup De Grace into a spear to get the win. Strowman tried to cash in his MITB contract, but the Shield saved the day. The trio hit the triple powerbomb on him to end the show.
