The flagship show of the WWE kicked off the newer storylines for the next PPV that will be hosted, next month. It will be No Mercy where the fallouts from Summerslam will be addressed alongside the fresh brewing up rivalries. Here are the results from WWE Raw that took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
WWE Raw opened up with the Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar who received a huge pop from the crowd. His advocate went on to cut a long promo about the Summerslam win. Braun Strowman cut him off going right after Lesnar. He delivered a big boot and followed it up with two powerslams to put Lesnar down.
Enzo Amore squared off against Big Cass in a Brooklyn Street Fight. In the middle of the match, Cass had a nasty fall off the top rope to the mat on his knees. He was hurt legit and was not able to continue. The doctors came down to the ringside and checked him as the match was called off.
Emma was complaining about Sasha Banks winning the Raw Women’s title at Summerslam. She also went bad mouth Nia Jax which led to an impromptu match against the latter one. Nia picked up yet another big victory by hitting a Samoan Drop to Emma.
Kurt Angle introduced John Cena to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He wanted to see Roman Reigns and got him face-to-face. However, the moment was cut short by the Miz. The WWE Raw GM set up a tag-team match with Cena and Reigns teaming up against The Miz and his choosing opponent. That turned out to be none other than Samoa Joe.
Sasha Banks had a celebration in Brooklyn which was interrupted by Alexa Bliss. The champion advised her to invoke her rematch clause on the spot. But, Little Miss Bliss announced the title match will take place, next week.
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose came out in front of the crowd to address their victory at Summerslam. The Hardy Boyz came out to congratulate them that set up an impromptu tag match. Jeff missed a Swanton Bomb and ate a kick from Rollins. This allowed Dean to hit the Dirty Deeds to get the pinfall.
A random tag team action took place where the babyface team picked up the win. Elias Samson defeated R-Truth with his Drift Away move. Jason Jordan was given a match against Finn Balor but digested a Coup De Grace to lose the contest.
In the main event of WWE Raw, John Cena and Roman Reigns teamed up against The Miz and Samoa Joe. During the end, Reigns accidentally hit Cena with a superman punch. Joe choked Reigns after this distraction. Aftermath, Cena connected with an AA on The Miz to get the pinfall win. Reigns and Cena celebrated to close WWE Raw.
