As reported this past Monday night, Randy Orton was probably dealing with an injury issue following his scheduled match. The veteran star was seemingly favoring his left shoulder following the tag team match against The Street Profits alongside Riddle. Fans were definitely worried about the multi-time world champion, especially considering that it’s the Wrestlemania season.
As seen in the released videos on the internet, Randy Orton appeared to be in immediate pain after taking a Frogsplash off the top rope by Montez Ford. That move also marked caused the pinfall in the match after which Orton remained on the mat, and was checked on by Riddle and the referee.
When Randy Orton Plans On Retiring From The WWE?
As noted, Randy Orton favored his right shoulder while walking to the back with the referee and Riddle. Even Ford, for once talked to the injured star before celebrating his big win on Raw. An update regarding his current state has been provided by Fightful Select which indicates that the superstar didn’t pick up any serious injury but he is being monitored by the doctors since the situation could deteriorate at any point.

Randy Orton might have crushed his ribs
“Initial indications were that it was just a stinger or a tweak, but WWE plans on monitoring the situation as a lot can change overnight.
Since then, we’ve heard it was a bit of a combo of Randy Orton getting the wind knocked out of him, his ribs crushed, and not being able to move.
We’re told there was no heat on Montez Ford on the spot and it was considered a ‘sh*t happens’ situation.”
The source also noted that it was Team RK-Bro who was scheduled to win the match on Raw. But due to the awkward Frogsplash by Ford, Randy Orton couldn’t kick out of the move and thus Ford picked up a pinfall win over the 14-time world champion. This was also the apparent reason why the referee had an awkward count since he knew of a different outcome.
Next week’s RAW is scheduled to feature Team RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) vs. Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens vs. RAW Tag Team Champions Alpha Academy with the titles on the line. There’s no update on whether the apparent injury would allow The Viper to perform in this match.
