On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, John Cena managed to wrap up all commitments to be in his hometown of Boston for a rare appearance to confirm that he will also be performing in a match at WrestleMania 39. However, the aftermath reaction from The Champ left the fans to speculate whether this is the last appearance for him in front of his hometown.

While many thought John Cena would leave a message for his upcoming match at WrestleMania 39 while also thanking the fans for their immense support but that’s not the case. Instead, the message he posted on social media is pretty different, hinting at the beginning of the end for him. As you could tell from his face on Raw, he was visibly emotional while coming out to the ring.

Fans gave a thunderous reaction to John Cena and his family sitting amongst them. The 16-time World champion took to Twitter and claimed that it could turn out to be his final appearance in front of the WWE universe,

“Last night was the first time I entered the arena and had the thought that it might be the last time. I’ll never be able to put into words how much I love the #WWEUniverse.”

Meeting the expectations of the fans, John Cena was confronted by Austin Theory in a verbal back-and-forth encounter. As demanded by the fans, he also accepted the challenge from Austin Theory over the WWE United States title in a much-awaited clash. His appearance in a big match will also help WWE to promote WWE 2K23 to the fullest as The Cenation Leader features on the cover of the game.

Also, in recent times, John Cena and The Rock’s rivalry had been well documented by A&E in an episode of WWE Rivals. It was the Leader of Cenation who initiated the feud with The Great One, taking verbal jabs at him for going to Hollywood. Down the road, the two ended up having terrific matches with The Rock which became two of the biggest draws in the history of WrestleMania on the 28th and 29th editions.
