Following her arrival on Monday Night Raw, Maxxine Dupri started to make lovey-dovey moves with her potential on-screen flame, Otis. After disbanding herself with Mace and Monsoor, this appeared to be a refreshing angle for the fans. The association of the new sensation also elevated the popularity of the American Alpha – Otis and Chad Gable and organically made the faction a babyface.
Now, it’s time for Maxxine Dupri to step up the game and offer something in the wrestling capacity. For weeks, the former NXT talent has declared her excitement over offering something fresh when it comes to in-ring competition. Eventually, she did perform a stunning finisher to pick up her maiden solo win against Valhalla.

There’s been an organic transformation for the ex Sofia Cromwell which makes her a lovable character for the WWE Universe. At least, her on-screen mentor thinks so. The WWE Universe has embraced the new role played by Maxxine Dupri as a cheerleader and an occasional wrestler, and there’s a big reason behind the same.
In a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, Alpha Academy’s Gable showered Maxxine Dupri with praise for quickly learning the basics of pro-wrestling. WWE Universe experienced the struggles first-hand and they have also seen those moves to have excelled which is why they support her wholeheartedly,
“She’s at TV every week and learning how to do an arm drag or suplex — there are people coaching her, myself included. You’re watching it happen, and I think that’s what [has] connected [with] people — it’s like, they got that. This is real, this is organic, [and] we’re watching this girl kinda [learn to wrestle].”
WWE Universe got to know the real version of Maxxine Dupri
Gable also touched down the angle where WWE dropped Maxxine Dupri’s angle as a fashionista after the WWE Universe failed to connect with those segments. He noted how things could have backfired for the young career of the female talent but eventually, her imperfections and vulnerability have been the main reasons why the audience thought the transformation to be reasonable,
“Physically, she doesn’t have all the tools these other girls have. She does stumble every once in a while, she’s not perfect in every way, and I think when people finally saw that aspect of her, they [appreciated her efforts].” (quotes courtesyWrestling INC)
The July 31 episode match on WWE Raw from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas marked only the second match of Maxxine Dupri’s young wrestling career where she defeated Valhalla in her first win. She even impressed the audience by using the Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex, added with a bridge as her finisher.
