For weeks now, fans were ecstatic to witness Maxxine Dupri in solo action which finally came true during the latest episode of Raw. For the first time, she competed in a singles contest against the current rival Valhalla (fka Sarah Logan of The Riott Squad). Not only, the newbie managed to impress everyone with her in-ring skills but she also picked up a win against the heavyweight opponent.
Maxxine Dupri offered simple offenses in the match which mostly consisted of arm drags, a fisherman’s suplex, and a variation of The Caterpillar that’s made famous by her Alpha Academy cohort, Otis. In the end, the solo debutant finished the three-and-a-half-minute contest by pinning Valhalla after delivering a Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex, adding a bridge.

WWE Raw: Maxxine Dupri competed in her second-only match
The July 31 episode match on WWE Raw from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas was only the second of Maxxine Dupri’s career. She previously teamed up with Alpha Academy to defeat the Viking Raiders and Valhalla in a mixed tag team match on Raw, earlier this month. While being on the NXT roster, she never got to wrestle in a match and got the call-up on the main roster from WWE’s developmental system in that state.
Following her Smackdown debut in a managerial role, first for the Maximum Male Models and then for the Alpha Academy, there have been long speculations over whether WWE intends to use Maxxine Dupri in a wrestling capacity or whether it’s an injury that is holding her back.
The Raw Superstar then confirmed heading into the summer that she was cleared to compete as a professional wrestler which keeps the door open for her to possibly make her in-ring debut in WWE.
“I am training in-ring, everything is good, we are healthy,” Maxxine Dupri revealed during an interview on the Out Of Character podcast with Ryan Satin. “I am trying to live in the moment, so I am so happy and content with my character and storylines, I am having so much fun. I obviously would love to get a little physicality going, but I also just want to really take in every single moment, as I feel like I’m never going to get this time back.”
