For the past several weeks on WWE Raw, Judgment Day has been involved in a feud with Seth Rollins which already produced two title matches with Finn Balor. If rumors are to go by then Dominik Mysterio was the supposed next in the line to have got a title shot which may not be the case. A surprising heel turn has now indicated who could be the next challenger for the world champion.

This week’s episode of WWE Raw closed after Shinsuke Nakamura walked away from the ring after striking the champion, Seth Rollins, with a Kinshasa Kick. The attack came after Nakamura and Rollins were on the same team on the August 7 episode of the show.

Originally on WWE Raw, Nakamura was never planned to be in the main event bout and his inclusion in the match came at the very last minute. Rhodes and Rollins were originally set to team with WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champion Sami Zayn but the latter was backstage by JD McDonagh. Afterward, Nakamura stepped up to take his place and then showed his true colors.

Possible main event of Payback revealed on Raw?

Eventually, The Japanese sensation wrestled in another match on WWE Raw earlier in the evening, coming out victorious against Bronson Reed. Now, with the attack on the reigning world champion, he’s seemingly out for a title match against him. The current speculation is that the two will collide in the upcoming premium live event from the WWE.

WWE Payback PLE is set to emanate from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, next month and it’s possible Rollins vs. Nakamura could be seen in the headlining main event title match from WWE Raw for the show if Roman Reigns remains on a hiatus. Nakamura is a former WWE Intercontinental, United States, NXT, and tag team champion but he’s yet to win a world title in his WWE career.
