For two consecutive weeks, a mid-card title changed hands on WWE Raw. This week, Team RK-Bro’s Randy Orton and Riddle have become your new RAW Tag Team Champions while last week, Finn Balor won the United States Championship.
As seen on this week’s opening contest of WWE Raw hosted from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, Team RK-Bro became the new champions by winning a Triple Threat over Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens, and the former champion, Alpha Academy – Otis and Chad Gable.

The finishing sequence of this match saw Owens and Rollins stun Otis with superkicks and hit a double-superkick to keep him out of the ring. Orton and Riddle cut post-match promos on how they are now going to WrestleMania 38 together as the reigning champions. Orton specifically mentioned how he never used the F-word (friend) before, but he can use it with Riddle. Check out his actual words from WWE Raw,
“I’ve been doing this more than 20 years now and I have never had this much fun as I’m having right now in this ring with my partner riddle. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. This man is my FRIEND.”
This is the second WWE Raw tag team title reign for Team RK-Bro. They’ve previously won the belt from AJ Styles and Omos at WWE Summerslam 2021. Gable and Otis began their reign back on the January 10 episode by defeating Orton and Riddle. They held the belts for 56 recognized days before dropping them, last night.
WWE Raw tag team titles match for Wrestlemania 38 was also indicated after this title change as The Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins noted that they might face the champion over the title at the Show of Shows since they beat them last week. It was Ford who pinned Orton via a Frogsplash, last week to start the next championship match angle.
