After spending nearly two years in a non-physical capacity, Maxxine Dupri is expected to finally wrestle on WWE Raw. Going by the recent instances, it should happen within a few days, possibly next week.
During a backstage segment on the latest episode of WWE Raw, Team Alpha Academy – Otis and Chad Gable and Dupri discussed her recent ringside altercations with Valhalla (former Riott Squad member Sarah Logan). Otis suggested that Chad Gable should take the responsibility to teach Dupri so that she could take on “the Viking lady.”

Chad Gable ready to train Maxxine Dupri for WWE in-ring debut
Gable agreed and since Dupri has recently claimed in interviews that she might be ready for in-ring competition, we could spot her in action, after all on WWE Raw. However, from a storyline perspective, Dupri was more eager to change her outfit rather than go into a training session with Gable. We have to wait and see what could be next in this angle, moving forward.
While nothing regarding the debut was officially announced on WWE Raw, it appears a match between Dupri and Valhalla is inevitable to happen. In that case, it would be Dupri’s first match since she was signed with the WWE in August 2021. Previously on NXT, she made some plash as Sofia Cromwell, a valet on the WWE’s developmental brand.

Maxxine Dupri training to make WWE Raw in-ring debut
Afterward, Dupri was sent to the WWE Raw brand as part of the Draft 2023. Talking on the Out of Character podcast, she was pretty positive about becoming a performer on WWE TV,
“I am training in-ring, everything is good, we are healthy. I am trying to live in the moment, so I am so happy and content with my character and storylines, I am having so much fun. I obviously would love to get a little physicality going, but I also just want to really take in every single moment, as I feel like I’m never going to get this time back.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
Maxxine Dupri stayed on NXT for more than a year
After her NXT debut, Cromwell was abruptly called up to WWE’s main roster last July as part of Smackdown, She took on the name Maxxine Dupri and started managing Maximum Male Models. Then, while trying to recruit Otis to join that group, she ended up joining The Alpha Academy and arrive on WWE Raw to possibly showcase her in-ring skills.
