WWE Raw Preview – (13/08/2018) Final Hypes for Summerslam, Tag Team Title Match 1

Tonight marks the final episode of WWE Raw before Summerslam arrives.

It is that particular time where the prime championship pictures will be on the forefront of all storyline angles. Surprisingly, hypes are comparatively low, especially for the Universal Championship. The absence of Brock Lesnar is the biggest reason for this which might continue tonight as well.

However, we can expect Ronda Rousey on WWE Raw to make that up for the fans. We can also expect a twist in the tale, as Seth Rollins tries to retaliate against Ziggler and McIntyre.

As for the headliner goes, the tag team title will be on the line alongside a female voice debuting on the commentary team. All of these will come live when WWE Raw airs live from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The women’s division of the WWE is up for another history on tonight’s WWE Raw. Renee Young will make her debut on the commentary table with Michaels Cole and Corey Graves. It is the first time that a female voice will call the actions down on the longest running weekly TV show. She is likely to live up to the expectations going by her excellent work ethics. WWE might get a permanent replacement for The Coach in that case.

The advertisements of WWE Raw in Greensboro do not include Brock Lesnar. It means the champion will not appear even on the go-home episode for Summerslam. However, the wrath shown by him two weeks ago will certainly be the talking point. Paul Heyman was the victim of it, but he did not rule out a reconciliation with his client.

But he has also spoken out some mysterious comments on WWE.com about Roman Reigns,

“Paul Heyman seemed to hint that there might be one way Roman Reigns can defeat Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Why he stopped himself from speaking further remains a mystery. So, what was Heyman going to say? Does The Beast Incarnate have a weakness that has yet to be exploited, or is it something deeper than that?”

It does mean he is eyeing to make Roman Reigns the next ‘Paul Heyman guy.’ The question remains will The Big Dog accept this call and confirm his championship win at Summerslam? We might get some hints of the same on WWE Raw.

WWE Raw tag team titles will be on the line as per last week’s announcement. The B-team will defend in a triple threat against Deletor of Worlds and The Revival. Matt Hardy is probably dealing with an injury and will get some time-off following Summerslam. So Hardy and Wyatt are not reclaiming the tag team titles. Instead, the ‘top guys’ have a good chance to receive their first tag team titles on the main roster.

Ronda Rousey has all the momentums by her side before going into Summerslam championship match. She won her debut match on WWE Raw. But Alexa Bliss went big-mouth once the show was over last time, calling Rousey, an ‘overhype rookie’. The Rowdy superstar will try to get her hands on the champion for this giving a preview of the title match at Summerslam.

Seth Rollins had received several beatdowns by Ziggler and McIntyre on WWE Raw on a weekly basis. Last week, he talked about figuring something out to deliver a counter-attack. Does this mean that a return of Dean Ambrose is imminent? We will find out when the flagship show comes live tonight from Greensboro.
