We haven’t spotted Randy Orton on WWE Raw programming for nine long months due to an injury situation. In recent times, no positive updates were available, either regarding his return to the WWE. However, in an indirect way, it’s been revealed that the veteran WWE Superstar could quietly be gearing up for a return to TV.
A bootmaker gave update on Orton
Using his Instagram handle, Pro-Wrestling Bootmaker Jose G Sanz revealed that Randy Orton has contacted him to make a new set of boots for his return to WWE. Below is what he wrote on his Instagram story (translated from Spanish via WWFOldSchool):
“I haven’t made them yet but Randy Orton contacted me via email for his return. Currently, Drew McIntyre and Bray Wyatt are some of the biggest superstars. Today I received an order for boots for Cody (Rhodes) for WrestleMania.”
WWE Raw: Randy Orton Almost Passed Out During Wrestlemania 33 Entrance
While there’s no definite confirmation available regarding the return or the capacity of this return, we could only assume that it should be happening around the Wrestlemania 39 season. If no storyline reservations can’t be made for him then WWE could also make a way for him to appear on the Raw/Smackdown episode after Wrestlemania 39.
WWE Raw: Randy Orton Undergoes Surgery Amid Hiatus From TV
Randy Orton recently made a public appearance
Since his absence in May, Randy Orton was last seen in public as he was helping at Boon Center Inc. in his home state of Missouri. As seen in several photos released on social media, he could be seen flexing his biceps on Instagram, indicating that he’s in shape in time for the biggest event of the year.
Orton’s absence caused changes for WWE
Randy Orton is currently out of action with a back injury. He hasn’t seen in action since May after getting written off WWE programming after a vicious storyline assault by Roman Reigns and The Usos. After this, the veteran had to undergo a lower back fusion surgery, which resulted in major changes in WWE’s creative plans for Summerslam 2022.
The original plan for the main event match called for Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. But it was ultimately canceled after the latter’s injury as Reigns went on to face Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing Match.
