AJ Styles competed against Ricochet with the stipulation if Ricochet wins then he could enter the Royal Rumble match. AJ went for the Phenomenal Forearm but Ricochet hit the Recoil to counter. He then went for a top rope move but AJ caught him with a Styles Clash for the win.

The Miz and Morrison hosted an episode of The Dirt Sheet where Gillberg made his appearance alongside a fake Drew McIntyre to hype up the title match at Rumble. The segment ended with Miz predicting that he will cash in his Money in the Bank contract to be the new WWE Champion.
