Adam Pearce announced that there will be three singles matches. The winners will meet next Monday in a Triple Threat. The winner of that Triple Threat will become the new number-one contender for an upcoming title match against WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

The first WWE Title Number-one Contender’s Triple Threat Qualifying Match on WWE RAW took place between Riddle and Sheamus. Riddle received a White Noise from Sheamus but he ducked the Brogue Kick. He hit a kick on Sheamus that was countered into a Cloverleaf submission. But Riddle got out of it and rolled up Sheamus to secure the win.
WWE RAW Women’s Title Match took place between Lana and Asuka which was disqualified after Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax interrupted. The match then turned into a tag team match the women’s tag champs competed against Asuka and Lana. Jax wanted to put Lana through the announce table but she landed hard as Lana moved out of the way. Baszler locked in Lana into the Kirifuda Clutch but Asuka was the legal man who rolled up Baszler for the win.
