After winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions 2023, Seth Rollins went through his first title defense, this week on WWE Raw. After the dust settled, he successfully defended the title against one of the Judgment Day members but then he quickly found himself facing his next potential challenger, also from the same faction.
In the main event of the WWE Raw June 5 episode, Seth Rollins defended his title against Damian Priest of Judgment Day. Before the match went down, the two title match participants also had a conversation in the ring in the opening segment where his Judgment Day cohort Finn Balor, promised that his stablemates won’t be at ringside during the title match.

However, the promise was broken in the championship match as Balor eventually got involved in the match and attacked Seth Rollins at ringside. That helped Priest to get a near-fall, but the champion ultimately prevailed with The Stomp to secure the pinfall win. Priest was unhappy after seeing Balor getting involved in the match, “Why are you here?”
The Judgment Day members Dominik Mysterio and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley weren’t seen in the main event of Raw as they preferred to remain backstage after confronting Cody Rhodes earlier in the show.

Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor happening at Money in the Bank 2023?
Once the match was over, the closing moments of WWE Raw saw Finn Balor entering the ring to have a staredown with Seth Rollins which was a tease that he’s coming for the title held by “The Visionary”. A World Heavyweight Championship match could be reserved between the two at Money in the Bank which is fitting since it takes place in Balor’s home-land territory in the United Kingdom.
WWE Money in the Bank 2023 premium live event goes down from the O2 Arena in London, England on Saturday, July 1. Since the event will be hosted overseas in the UK, superstars from that territory would get preference and it’s a no-brainer that Finn Balor would be the second challenger for Seth Rollins’ world title on that night. The official confirmation is yet to be received, however. Due to the same reason, another top UK star Becky Lynch has confirmed her position for the 2023 Money in the Bank ladder match on Raw.
