WWE Raw and Smackdown brands are genuinely dealing with a headache as they don’t have multiple superstars onboard due to injury reasons. If recent updates are to go by then the company is reportedly dealing with an “unusually high amount of injuries and medical absences” at the moment.
According to the updates provided by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, top superstars from WWE Raw and Smackdown like Carmella, Big E, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Ronda Rousey, Drew McIntyre, AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Robert Roode, and Aliyah are all currently sidelined, primarily due to injury reasons and the follow-up creative obstacles.

WWE NXT roster is also suffering the same problem as the likes of Amari Miller, Arianna Grace, Blair Davenport, Nikkita Lyons, Roderick Strong, Sanga, Yulisa Lyon, and many more from WWE Performance Center trainees are out of action due to injuries. The report also affirmed that most wrestlers from the developmental territory have to be sidelined due to health problems.

Two top WWE Raw Superstars dealing with career-threatening injuries
Among all those above-mentioned names from WWE Raw and Smackdown, there are uncertainties about Big E’s career since he broke his neck during a tag team match, last year. The former WWE Champion recently revealed that he is yet to consult with his doctors to discuss the results of his latest scan results.
Various reports claim that top WWE Raw Superstar Randy Orton has also long been dealing with career-threatening injuries. He’s considered to be “nowhere close” to returning to action after undergoing back fusion surgery.
Robert Roode is another name whose in-ring future is also unknown after going through a neck fusion surgery in December of last year. Kofi Kingston and Tommaso Ciampa are also two other names who had to undergo surgical procedures to heal their wounds and there’s no current timeline set for their return.
Another top WWE Raw Superstar AJ Styles has not been seen on TV since breaking his ankle in last year’s December. Bray Wyatt is also allegedly dealing with an undisclosed physical illness. Johnny Gargano is the latest addition to the list of injured superstars as he recently re-aggravated a shoulder injury.
From Smackdown, Ronda Rousey is dealing with an arm injury throughout the WrestleMania season although she performed in the Wrestlemania Showcase tag match in a protected way. Aliyah is out of action since September 2022 due to unknown reasons while Drew McIntyre’s status is also unknown.
