WWE Raw: Trish Stratus’ Return On February 27 Kept As A Secret

On the Road to Wrestlemania 39, Trish Stratus is back in the WWE to the delight of the WWE Universe. Her return came as a bit of a surprise since it was originally intended to happen in her hometown of Toronto a week ago but it happened, nonetheless during the main event of WWE Raw this week. Her appearance also assured that a championship change does take place on the show.

WWE didn’t include Trish on Raw card

It turned out that WWE tried its very best to keep this return under wraps and got success in doing so to a certain extent. Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that the Canadian female talent was not listed backstage for WWE Raw, this week. Plus, the veteran journalist also reaffirmed the previous reports from last week that she was present backstage at the show,

“– Unlike previous weeks, Trish Stratus was not listed anywhere internally.

– It was again confirmed to us that Trish Stratus was at last week’s WWE Raw before the show.”

Trish Stratus left last week’s Raw without appearing on TV

Following the February 20th episode of WWE Raw in Ottawa, Canada, Ringside News was able to confirm with a tenured member of the creative team that the WWE Hall of Famer was indeed backstage on Raw but she left without appearing on the show. She was reportedly “in a meeting” with Triple H “for a while” after which a creative change was observed in the storylines.

A week later, Trish Stratus appeared on Raw, leaving most of the fans in a surprised state. She interjected herself into Lita and Becky Lynch’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match against Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. Her help to fend off the offenses from Bayley appeared to be quite fruitful as we got new champions in the form of Lita and Lynch.

WWE Raw: Carmella Lost A Major Streak On February 27 Episode

While nothing is confirmed at this point, Trish Stratus is expected to be on TV on the road to WrestleMania 39. There are new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and reports suggest that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are coming after those titles, to set up a match at Mania. So, WWE will have to insert the veteran into a possible new match, strategically. Damage CTRL vs. Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus could also be happening at Mania.
