WWE Raw will continue building hype for the upcoming Money in the Bank 2023 premium live on this week’s episode. The final women’s division qualifier from the red brand has been announced and it will feature none other than WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. When the match actually goes down, it will also break a streak of the legendary WWE Superstar.
Trish Stratus is slated to lock horns with Raquel Rodriguez in the qualifying match on WWE Raw. The winner of this match will join the other five already qualifying opponents IYO SKY, Bayley, Zelina Vega, Zoey Stark, and Becky Lynch to complete the fray of the 2023 Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
“I Don’t Just Want To Come Back For My Own Kicks,” Trish Stratus Opens Up On Her 2023 WWE Run
Following the announcement of the match, Trish took to Twitter and posted a thirst trap photo of herself in a black bikini to claim herself as the next Money in the Bank winner. Then, Raquel posted the graphic of the match set for WWE Raw to remind Trish that they’re going to collide in the ring, yet again. This marks Trish’s first solo in-ring outing on Raw after 12 long years. Thus, she will break a streak of her own.
The self-proclaimed GOAT then made a mockery out of the emerging talent by stating the following, “Your time to get a rub from the GOAT… looking forward to it. Actually, can’t wait to get BACK in the ring with you. #WWERaw. And no, I didn’t miss you.”
WWE Raw: Trish vs. Becky storyline to be the main focus
According to an update from Xero News, WWE Officials have already discussed the idea of putting Trish Stratus in the Women’s Money in the Bank 2023 Ladder Match on July 1st where Becky Lynch will also be a participant. Trish will thereby cost Becky’s chances to win the ladder match and thereby set the ultimate showdown between them at Summerslam.
Even if Trish ends up losing on WWE Raw in the qualifier for the Money in the Bank PLE for the match, the plan is to make her appear to cost Becky the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match so that their feud continues after the PLE. Back at Night of Champions, their first match took place where Trish won via interference from Zoey Stark. Thus, a heel alliance between Trish and Stark also began on that night.
