Eyeing to build up tag teams for the women’s tag titles, several new tandems were built up on WWE Raw and Smackdown in the recent past. More such teams will be seen in the future but for now, there will be one less team on the roster. This happens after one of the former tag champs broke up, last night on the recent Monday Night tapings of the WWE from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley had a good run with the tag team championships and that included a strong championship run, but their time as a team has come to an end. The two superstars appeared in an interview segment, this week on WWE RAW and the so-called superhero declared that they wanted a rematch for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Then Rhea Ripley had something to say, but she wanted to say it in private.

There’s been tension between the two teams as Nikki doubted whether they’re going to talk about the future of their team. She also asked if Ripley was thinking of breaking up. Ripley said they’ve had a great run but it’s probably time for them to go their separate ways. Nikki mentioned how teaming up brought out the best in each of them. Ripley agreed but she’s ready to venture out on her own on WWE Raw landscape.

After a back and forth going with the mic, the two decided to split up, but remain friends. They hugged amid boos from the crowd as Nikki went to pose. Nikki came back only to drop her former buddy with a shot to the face. Nikki unloaded on Ripley and pounded on her to keep her down to solidify her heel turn on WWE Raw. Nikki left the ring and looked back, smiling at Ripley.

Nikki and Ripley became WWE Women’s tag team champions on WWE Raw, last year by defeating Tamina Snuka and Natalya. Then in November, the duo lost the title to a brand new team in Carmella and Queen Zelina Vega.
Both Nikki and Ripley have found success in singles runs as they’ve won WWE Raw Women’s title in the past. Ripley defeated Asuka at Wrestlemania 37 to win the belt while Nikki cashed-in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Charlotte Flair to win the strap.
