Prior to the heel turn of Trish Stratus on the April 10 WWE Raw episode, she admittedly attacked her bestie, Lita to put her out of the misery for being Becky Lynch’s sidekick. Now that, Trish is officially set to begin a feud with Lynch to possibly set up a match at Summerslam, it has left the fans wondering what’s next for Lita in the WWE.
Prior to WrestleMania 39, Lita returned to WWE Raw to team up with Becky Lynch to defeat Damage CTRL for the women’s tag team titles with a little help from Trish Stratus. Then at the Show of Shows, the babyface trio defeated the heel trio in a six-woman tag team non-title match.

Moving on, Lita was supposed to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside Becky Lynch on April 10 WWE Raw episode, but she didn’t make it to the match due to an attack by an anonymous person. Trish Stratus filled in for her, but she ultimately lost those titles. Then Trish turned on Lynch to set up their next program and we’ve since heard from Lita.
Lita’s current run on WWE Raw could be over
In an update to the situation, PWInsider Elite noted that Lita is off WWE Raw television at this point, as she hasn’t been, backstage at any of the TV events since that kayfabe attack angle. The source hadn’t heard anything regarding whether the WWE creative team has anything planned for her and it’s safe to say that her current could be over,
“Lita has not been at any TVs since she was “attacked” backstage at WWE Raw. We haven’t heard of any plans for her to be used going forward at this time, but one would think she’ll be involved in the Trish Stratus story down the line. No one has told me this is the plan but Trish vs. Lita as a nostalgia attraction fits into what Saudi Arabia usually wants for those PPV events, so we will see if they go in that direction as creative plans are locked in.”
As you can see, there are speculations that Lita will eventually be used in the Trish vs. Lynch program, down the road. If the original plans are intact then the program should culminate at Summerslam. But given how Saudi Arabia PPVs need nostalgia acts, don’t be surprised if the match from the WWE Raw brand gets preponed at Night of Champions.
