Despite what the WWE Universe thinks of Roman Reigns, there’s no stop for him especially when it comes to Wrestlemania.
For the past few years, he has made it his yard. Literally, taking it from not only The Undertaker but also other prominent names from the current roster in the WWE. He is going for another main event spot at this year’s edition of the showcase of immortals.
It was speculated for a long time now that a match between Brock Lesnar and Reigns will be closing this year’s Wrestlemania. The creative team did not take any other step for this particular bout that was penciled in, even one year ago.
Following the Elimination Chamber win on February 25th, the inevitable bout became the reality.
The pro-wrestling universe was literally irate once this happened. However, the company could have cared the least about it. They are on their way to lock Reigns versus Lesnar match for the night on April 8th.
With that being said, the Big Dog will create his own history at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
As reported by WWE.com, if Roman Reigns closes this year’s Wrestlemania then he will equal the record of main-eventing the show for consecutive four years.
Only, Hulk Hogan holds this incredible accolade since he was the former franchise player. Previously, John Cena and The Rock had the opportunity to main-event the scene for three times in a row.
With the pace that the Samoan superstar is approaching, we will not be surprised if he surpasses Hogan’s record, next year. He is the favorite one when it comes to main-eventing Wrestlemania 35 as well from the New York City.
Unless a huge buildup is made up for someone like AJ Styles or Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns is bound to do the same. To be precise, again making it five in a row.
Furthermore, WWE.com also pointed out that current roster member and the Raw women’s champion is approaching to making history, too. She is going to be the third only woman who will defend her women’s title in two back to back Wrestlemania shows.
Check out the update, “If she can hang on to her title until Sunday, April 8, Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will join Victoria and Trish Stratus as the third competitor to defend a Women’s Title at consecutive WrestleManias. Bliss will also become the first Superstar to defend both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Titles at WrestleMania.”
