WWE will be presenting the Royal Rumble 2021 edition on January 31st. Unlike the past few occasions, this year is pretty different where the company is going forward with short-term plans. Even the direction toward the main event of WrestleMania isn’t very much clear. There are plenty of things that needed to be locked into place.
There is also a lot of discussion going on about the Royal Rumble 2021 PPV match card. If earlier reports were to go by then no plans were there for NXT Superstars to be a part of the men’s Rumble match. A lot of options are currently there on the table and NXT isn’t coming into play, yet.
Ringside News was informed that everything about Royal Rumble 2021 is currently being discussed. “Even things that shouldn’t be discussed, like the concept of the Rumble match itself” comes under discussion that is surprising, for sure. The backstage officials are making sure that a very interesting experience could be provided with The Rumble inside the ThunderDome.

Why WWE is not bringing fans to Royal Rumble 2021?
It’s confirmed that WWE won’t have any live fans in Tropicana Field for the Royal Rumble 2021. The company doesn’t have any plans, either to make changes to its closed set venue concept, either.
Removing the ThunderDome setup for one night and then cleaning it up for the next night on Raw would be a lot of works. Plus, COVID-19 protocols will also have to be maintained which is pretty hectic, for sure. Now, they can do whatever they want in regards to filming the matches.
It’s being informed by the source that the officials haven’t nailed anything down regarding Royal Rumble 2021 concept. The entrants are slowly being announced and the likes of Sheamus or Edge are the latest ones from the male roster.

NXT roster wasn’t involved in the Survivor Series pay-per-view because there was a fear of ‘cross-contamination.’ COVID-19 is still in full effect and the company is still fearing the same at Royal Rumble 2021. Only a few selected could be warming up for the same as there are a couple of names who might be cleared for an import to the main roster.
No NXT Superstars have been informed about their placement in the Rumble match. They weren’t told about any Rumble entries until the evening gets close, anyway. So chances are pretty low with them as we can expect to see the main roster names filling up the card only.
