There have been a lot of speculations about WWE thrashing down the so-called ‘forbidden door’ in time for Royal Rumble 2022. In general, the trend for WWE is to stay in their personal zone only for their events where superstars under their contract can only participate. But there could be a reported change in that norm, as per the recent reports.

Plus, WWE literally shocked the world by announcing the reigning Impact Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Mickie James for the Royal Rumble 2022 match for the women’s division. It seems like WWE has reached a deal with IMPACT Wrestling via which Mickie James is appearing at a WWE PPV while still being a Champion in IMPACT Wrestling. Smackdown commentator Pat McAfee even mentioned IMPACT during the commentary.

Now, updated reports claim that WWE is considering another “Forbidden Door” entrant for the Men’s Royal Rumble 2022 Match. After the surprising announcement around James, @Wrestlevotes noted that the company is trying to bring an “unexpected” entrant who could be dubbed as the so-called Forbidden Door participant in the Men’s Rumble as well.

No update is available on who that mystery participant could be for the Men’s Rumble match. The good thing is that they are at least open to the idea of a non-WWE talent possibly appearing at the 30-Man Rumble Match just like Mickie James. But unlike the female champion, this entrant would be a surprise one, it appears.

There’s a lot of speculation on Impact World Champion Moose possibly making an appearance at Royal Rumble 2022 after his recent comments where he wanted to work with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. No update is available if there have been any negotiations in that regard within the WWE. At least Moose can’t face Reigns at The Rumble since the latter is already booked to face Seth Rollins in a Universal Championship match.
