Now, WWE fans might have been disappointed with the fact that Shane McMahon has lost at Wrestlemania and the “instrument of change” has been taken away from them. After so much hype that was created around the handover of the company with the arrival of Shane McMahon, they were hoping to see a new era begins post-Wrestlemania and the Authority to disappear from the scene.
Now, that chance is being demolished but not so bad news for the fans, as of now. According to the reports from wrestlingINC.com during a recent Reddit AMA, user, Falcon Arrow stated that The Authority angle would be ending soon. He wrote, “From what I know they are going bye bye for a while very soon.”
The Authority storyline began back in Summerslam 2013 when Triple H turned heel after some long time attacking Daniel Bryan and literally handed over the WWE championship to then Money in the Bank holder Randy Orton.
Since after then, the control of both WWE Raw and Smackdown was given to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon who named themselves as the Authority. The stable was mainly made to give the fans “what’s best for business” but eventually, that was converted into “the Authority always wins.”
Day by day, the stable had seen new members and it grew stronger. Several big names like Randy Orton, Batista, Seth Rollins, Big Show, Kane, Joe Mercury, Jimmy Noble and even the Shield temporarily were the part of the stable over the long period. Now, the fans want an end to the Authority storyline which in turn will make things interesting as we will get to know the new general managers for both Raw and Smackdown. On the other hand, WWE will be able to create one dominant heel after the Authority.
