Since the day The Miz had his impactful promo on the Talking Smack segment, he’s been insulting Daniel Bryan. The A-lister has said on different occasions that it’s a pity that Daniel Bryan had to quit what he’s been doing for years. It’s known to all that Daniel had to retire from in-ring competition due to the legit neck injury that was giving him trouble.
Though his personal doctors have cleared him to get back into the ring, WWE doctors never allowed him to do so. Hence, he had no choice but to quit. He could have gone to other wrestling promotion to do wrestling. However, his contract with WWE is active till 2018. Hence, he was forced to do this General Manager’s job for Smackdown Live.
Smackdown was live this week from Philadelphia and Daniel Bryan was present at the Philadelphia Phillies game the previous night. He attended a show by Attendance press and remarked about his injuries and retirement.
He wanted to show WWE’s point of view with his injury by saying,
“I honestly do. All the real concussion specialists who deal with concussions every day, all of them think I am fine.”
“You can see it from their point of view. If something happens to me…and then they let me back in the ring, and something happens to me, even if these other doctors say I’m cleared, they’re not the ones who the media will blame. Because concussions are such a hot topic issue and everyone’s afraid of that sort of thing, that’s one of the reasons why I wasn’t cleared.”
The Gm of Smackdown also said that if it would not be for his family then he might return to wrestle elsewhere in the world.
“Hell, I might even be wearing a mask at an independent show next week dressed up as Star Man,” Bryan said. “Because it’s what I love to do. But, it becomes different when you have a wife and you’re trying to have kids.”
