WWE has been dealing with a major headache for the past several months. The ratings are going downwards for both Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live that is holding back the overall TV viewership numbers, too. This is not a piece of good news at all considering that FOX Sports will air the blue brand contents from October onwards.

We have reported it earlier, that Fox Sports has acquired the rights of Smackdown Live for the next five years to come starting from October 4th. Why John Cena Will Remain As The Last-ever Poster Boy Of The WWE?

For those who have been following WWE programming, they are aware that the President of the United States is not a new face on TV, at all. He has been on an on-screen feud with Vince McMahon back at Wrestlemania 23. Plus, they are in good terms for a long term. Fox Sports wants to capitalize on this and bring Donald Trump back in the scenario for a TV appearance.

According to floating mails on the internet, FOX Sports are pitching new ideas to WWE management to make Smackdown even more interesting. These include certain names and stars on future programming including that of Donald Trump. There have been several mentions of “talking to Vince” and asking him to “make the call” as hinted by SportsKeeda.com.

The source also added that FOX Sports wants Donald Trump to appear on Smackdown Live at least, for once to make it look like a high-profile event. The TV staffs of the broadcast are quite confident that FOX staff seem confident that both WWE and the President will “understand the potential benefits to all parties.”

Here’s more from the source,

“FOX have asked for Trump so I’m trying to write something short and easy for him that makes him look good. Vince doesn’t like us to say anything bad about Trump so I’m just doing the best I can.”

We did not receive any confirmations on whether WWE has made the move to bring back Donald Trump on TV. But if FOX Sports officials keep the pressure on then it could certainly become a reality.
