WWE Rumor: Kurt Angle To Fight Rusev Upon In-Ring Return 1

The pro-wrestling circuit was very happy to see Kurt Angle’s accomplishments finally getting appreciated by the WWE. He will be a part of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2017, this Wrestlemania season. The veteran was already inducted into other Hall of Fame across the wrestling circuit. But this is the highest honor that is being given from the pinnacle of sports entertainment.

Legends across all the wrestling promotions have appreciated this move by the WWE. But, Rusev and Lana seemed to have disagreed with all of them. Lana posted a tweet teasing that there might be a feud in store between the Kurt Angle and Rusev. The tweet started with congratulating the former Olympic Gold Medalist. But she further proceeded to say that her dream was to see Angle getting crushed by Rusev.

Angle is the only one pro-wrestler who is also an Olympic Gold Medalist and hence considered to be a true American hero. On the other hand, Rusev is being portrayed as an anti-American. He has made a career out of insulting the American wrestlers which make him the monstrous heel that he is on the roster.

This earned him the nickname of the Bulgarian Brute, who literally despises the American Culture. Hence, the WWE has established him as one of the strongest United States champions of all time beating the likes of another Olympian, Mark Henry or the all-American, Jack Swagger. So, who better to confront this man than a true American, Kurt Angle?

This Russia vs. America flavor will make this feud a must watch for all fans. Rusev is not involved in any of the big storylines, as of now. So, it will not be surprising to see a returning Angle setting up a rivalry with the monstrous heel. Previously, the former world champion also desired to work with the likes of Rusev, Seth Rollins or AJ Styles upon his WWE return.
