Mick Foley was fired from Monday Night Raw by Stephanie McMahon on the second last episode of Raw before Wrestlemania. The former plays a role of good cop whereas the later is a bonafide heel of the television which means a conflict was bound to come at some point.
The differences in opinion had reached the boiling point when Stephanie asked Foley to fire a Raw superstar. To the shock of the commissioner, Foley took Stephanie’s name to fire him. But, that was not possible due to lack of authority.
Later, both Stephanie & Triple H verbally assaulted him leading to an attack from Foley bringing back Mr. Succo. This was the supposed end of the Raw GM stint of Mick Foley.
It was further confirmed next week when the commissioner fired him on live television.
Now, the stint might have come to an end but considering the Wrestlemania season is in full force, a surprise appearance can’t be ruled out. The crowd just loves to see the hardcore legend back, every single time. This keeps up the hope that we might see him on April 2nd to seek his vengeance on Triple H & Stephanie.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter also speculated it saying that there are plenty of chances to see Mick Foley in the match between Seth Rollins and Triple H. he was an integral part of this rivalry rooting for the Architect and hence might just show up in time to help him. This was Meltzer’s comments:
“There is a possibility that Foley does a run-in at WrestleMania because his surgery isn’t before WrestleMania. So there is a possibility.”
Samoa Joe is not booked for any match, tonight. Hence, he might make his presence felt to create a distraction for Rollins. This is the best time for the former Raw GM to make his entry providing the neutralisation. Whether his appearance at Mania happens or not, it is confirmed that he will undergo a hip surgery which would keep him away from WWE for a long time.
