WWE Rumor: Paige to quit wrestling due to the legitimate injury
Paige is one of the most gifted Women’s athletes that the Women’s division has ever seen. Starting from the WWE’s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling she made it to the WWE NXT to hold the inaugural NXT Women’s championship.
That was not it for her as she proceeded to break into the main roster and become the WWE Divas champion, the very first day toppling the then champion, AJ Lee. She is the only one to hold the NXT Women’s championship and the WWE Divas championship at the same time.
She became a two-time Divas champion in the year 2014 and was an integral part of the Divas revolution in WWE, last year. However, she vanished from the main event scenes due to lack of planning for her and had a horrible 2016, so far.
However, she manages to be a part of the WWE gossip even when she is away from the WWE ring for some unknown reasons. For the past couple of months, the social media has been over with the former Divas champion. Be it Paige going into the police custody, break-up with alleged boyfriend Del Rio, pregnancy rumors or her latest suspension from WWE, she is headlining with all of these.
The previous reports said that Paige is suffering from a legitimate concussion in her back portion. The latest report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter hints about the severity of the injury stating that her neck issue is similar to what a lot of wrestlers (nerve damage similar to Daniel Bryan) have had. It is the same issue that caused wrestlers like Daniel Bryan, Edge, Stone Cold Steve Austin weakness in the right arm and thereby leading to forceful retirement.
If this report is any indication, then it’s quite bad from Paige’s perspective. She is just 23-year-old and has plenty of wrestling left in her. Hopefully, the youngest Divas champion in the history would overcome all the odds to make a triumphant return to the ring.
