WWE Rumor: Planning Around The 2nd Women’s Money In The Bank Match Winner
Jun 27, 2017 at 3:34 PM
After controversies shadowed the historical Money in the Bank match for the women’s locker room, Daniel Bryan came up with a mega decision in order to fix it up. He announced that Carmella will be the first person to get stripped off the briefcase in the history of the WWE. She never climbed the ladder up to unhook the briefcase from its hanging position.
With that being said, a secondary ladder match was announced for the next episode of Smackdown Live. The same five women, Charlotte, Carmella, Natalya, Tamina and Becky Lynch will fight it out, one more time to claim the ultimate opportunity. This will earn the winner a guaranteed title shot at the Smackdown women’s championship.
With this announcement, the stakes for the next edition of the Tuesday Night Show is quite high. The rumour mill is buzzing about what is in store with the matchup. James Ellsworth is banned from ringside for that evening but who knows if he wants to show up and gives the upper hand to his ‘girl’-friend, Carmella.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter was able to throw some lights into the future of the Money in the Bank. Their reports stated that one of the heels from the Smackdown women’s division is still pitted to get the Money in the Bank briefcase.
It means anyone from the Welcoming Committee is the favourite to win the match and make her hold to the briefcase. Natalya, Carmella, and Tamina are amongst those names whereas the second one is still the frontrunner in the race. Carmella was always pencilled to win the contract and is still intact in the position. So, she will become the second one in the history of the company to win back-to-back Money in the Bank matches after CM Punk.
The source also speculated that WWE creative has not planned a successful cash-in of the contract for the winner. It means whoever ends up winning the briefcase will not capitalise when the moment of truce arrives. So, we are probably going to witness the third failed attempt to cash in Money in the Bank briefcase, this year. John Cena and Damien Sandow are the only two superstars in this list.
