WWE rumor: planning around the Women’s title for upcoming months
Now if you have noticed, Natalya came into the title picture out of nowhere after Wrestlemania. The Diva who was not even seen for half of the last year will now claim the WWE Women’s championship and square-off against Charlotte.
According to the reports from wrestlingINC.com Natalya and WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte are currently scheduled to have singles matches for the title at the May 1st WWE Payback pay-per-view and the May 22nd Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
The original planning with the Divas title was to let Sasha Banks have the title won at Wrestlemania and then these two former best friends would go on to lock horns for the title. That plan is nixed as of now as WWE wants to store the moment for Summerslam next year. The plan of keeping the title with Charlotte came into when Becky Lynch was added to the mix and the match was made a triple threat. Undoubtedly the three women gave us one of the best Divas matches we have seen in ages.
Sasha Banks have become the crowd’s hot favorite ever since he stepped to the main roster. WWE wants to use her as the main character of the Divas division Summerslam onwards. As of now, WWE has managed to project Natalya stronger than before. Natalya even managed to force the current Divas champion tap out on RAW this past week.
Charlotte has already excelled her as the top heel in the Divas division. Now, with that in mind, she must continue to stay as the top heel. She has all the tools needed to succeed in this role and so who better to fill the spot that was previously taken by Jacqueline and Trish Stratus in their respective eras? Her new rivalry with Natalya has already picked up and hopefully she will continue to do the job on hand she is given with.
