There’s been some constant speculation about the longevity of John Cena’s WWE title run. This time it should not get past of the Elimination Chamber PPV, as per the rumor mill. Bray Wyatt is the favorite to win it from Cena to set up a match between him and Orton at Wrestlemania. Cena, on the other hand, will go on to have a fresh rivalry which does not fall under the main event capacity.
As per reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a mixed tag team match is on the card of Wrestlemania where John Cena will team up with Nikki Bella for the very first time on live television. The real life couple will take on another couple of The Miz and Maryse.
The storyline should start from the Elimination Chamber match where The Miz would cost Cena from retaining the championship. Maryse is also expected to be present by his husband to create a distraction for the reigning champion to initiate the Wrestlemania feud.
This is the time when Nikki Bella would join the foray to neutralize the resistance from Maryse. It is also for the same reason why Natalya is using John Cena’s name time and time again in her ongoing feud with Nikki. This is to ensure that the audience should already be invested into a Cena-Nikki storyline in near future.
Furthermore, the main reason to make this team up happen is that the longest reigning Divas champion in the WWE history will be retiring after Wrestlemania 33. Although, she have tried hard to overcome her neck issues but it is giving her troubles and going by the rumors, she will be competing in her last match at Orlando, Florida.
This is indeed a heart-breaking news for all the Nikki Bella fans all around the world. However, this match would be a proper send-off to Nikki’s career in WWE. Rumors also suggest that WWE has a planning of Cena proposing to Nikki in the middle of the ring after the conclusion of the match to give the fans a Wrestlemania moment.
