Royal Rumble will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year in 2017. The event is scheduled to happen at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. This will be after twenty long years that WWE is returning with the event there to make history and preparations have already started to make the PPV monumental.
Triple H tweeted by saying that we never know who is going to show up at that night. WWE is wying to break e record already by selling huge amount of tickets. The previous record of attendance in Alamodome is 60,000 and WWE is looking to break it by any means. In the year 1997, WWE hosted Royal Rumble PPV, there.

Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin made history that night. Michaels’ boyhood dreams came true as he won the WWE championship from Psycho Sid. Austin won the Royal Rumble for the first time. He was eliminated once but the referee did not see it and hence he entered again at number 30 to win the Rumble match by eliminating Bret Hart.
WWE is trying to bring back both these two superstars to make the auspicious moment even bigger. Last time, these two were seen together in Wrestlemania 32 in their home state of Texas. This time too, the event is happening in Texas and WWE will try to bring them in certain capacity to create a record attendance.
They can be present for a special guest referee role or in the Royal Rumble match itself. Their presence in the event itself bound to boost the ticket-selling. Texas is also home state for Undertaker and hence he is also supposed to return to hype up the PPV as well as to start the build up for Wrestlemania.
