After winning the match at WWE No Mercy against John Cena, Roman Reigns has proven that he is the guy who will be running things around here. Following the game, he admitted the fact that this was his biggest win of his career to cement his spot as the franchise player of the company, whether fans like it or not.
So, he will continue to stay focus of chasing his dream to become the Universal Champion. Despite being the prime player on the flagship brand, he never had the opportunity to become the champion on the Raw brand. This ensures the main event at Wrestlemania 34 where he might have a big coronation.
In case you don’t know, the main event is all set to culminate between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar for the Universal title. But, he might have to shift his focus a bit to an angle that the fans want to see for a long time. This can also save him from getting the negative reactions that he receives, every single time.
According to the reports from James McKenna of Pro-wrestling sheet, the idea of reuniting the Shield is almost finalised. The basic idea of keeping Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns on the same brand was to ensure the fact that the faction can be recreated. Apparently, the inevitable will happen at the WWE TLC PPV.
The seeds of the trio getting back together were planted after The Miz brought the Shield context in his promo with Roman Reigns on this past Monday Night. Later the night, he had a matchup with the same person in which he suffered a loss. But, he gave a beatdown to the Big Dog which ended with a triple powerbomb that was a signature move of the Shield.
wowwww, hearing that to kickstart some ticket sales – they’re planning to give TLC in a month a MAJOR card upgrade. its finally happeninggg. pic.twitter.com/FLE8CWqRM0

So, it’s cunning tactics by the creative team to set up the main event of TLC PPV in the absence of the Universal Champion. It is going to be The Shield vs the three members of The Entourage in a TLC match at the Raw-exclusive PPV.
This will give a boost to the ticket selling for the PPV. Plus, this year marked the fifth year of the Shield formation in 2012. So, it will be a perfect time to bring the most popular faction back in the scene and an ideal environment, i.e. TLC.
