It was two weeks prior when WWE had issued a statement as an announcement to release total eight superstars from the roster and performers which include some of the former champions. WWE is on a mission to thin their roster to make the cost-cutting into fruition. They now made a routine job where every year in the spring, they try to thin out the roster and this year, too is following no exception. With already nine superstars being released of their duties the rumors are that WWE has found out more numbers of inactive wrestlers in the roster and soon will make a handshake with them.
According to the reports of wrestlingINC.com, WWE has already marked some of the inactive superstars and the moment of truth is about to come before or after of the Extreme Rules PPV on the 22nd May. The next list may comprise of one or two veterans who are no longer needed on the roster.
It was previously reported that WWE veteran Christian was removed from WWE performer’s contract. Though he will continue to work with Edge in the “Edge and Christian Show that totally Reeks of Awesomeness” as the company’s employee. On 6th May 2016, WWE released eight superstars with an official announcement on its website. The list included former Money in the Bank contract winner Damien Sandow, former United States Champion Santino Marella, Brooklyn Brawler, Cameron, Zeb Colter, Alex Riley, El Torito, the last Cruiserweight Champion Hornswoggle and the 2015 King of the Ring winner Wade Barrett.
The rumored names that are running around are Mark Henry, Ryback, Adam Rose etc. Mark Henry is not willing to renew his contract anymore whereas Ryback is in the bad books of Vince McMahon due to his disagreement with the company over various issues. And as reported, Adam Rose got arrested due to domestic violence. Cagesideseats.com also reported that a top women’s wrestler may also very well be released with them. The name of the wrestler is still not confirmed.
Sandow, Riley, Zeb Colter and Hornswoggle have been booked by Global Force Wrestling, a company run by former Intercontinental champion Jeff Jarrett. Sandow is scheduled to appear at an event on June 11 in the independent circuit. Barrett, however, wants to take some break from wrestling the world before moving forward.
