Triple H returned three weeks ago to WWE Raw to hand Kevin Owens, the WWE Universal Championship. The segment saw a huge success and the pro-wrestling circuit turned into a frenzy with the turn of events, that night. However, we have not seen the Game since then and Rollins has been asking about hunter’s return, since then.
It is also noted that Kevin Owens received one of the loudest pops in the PG era despite being the heel, on the crowning night. But from the next Raw onwards the ratings have fallen drastically due to the season start of the National Football League (NFL). It is also reported that people did not like the way that Owens was handed the championship title.
So, the rumor mill suggests that Seth Rollins might walk out as the new Universal Champion at the Clash of Champions PPV. Dean Ambrose was not having a good time with the title on Smackdown Live and so the creative decided to go with AJ Styles. They might end up doing the same on Raw, too.
However, if they indeed do so, they might receive a huge backlash from the indy fans. Owens will not be given the amount of time that he needs to cement his legacy as the champion. So, in opposition, the creative should focus to make up the thinner roster and lack of storylines.
Here comes the chance of Triple H returning to the main event picture once again at Clash of Champions PPV. His primary motto will be to save Owens’ title. Plus, he will set up the beef between him and Seth Rollins after his return which will culminate a huge match between the two of them. This match can take place at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble or even at Wrestlemania 33 depending on WWE’s creative planning. We would also see a power struggle between Foley and the McMahons on Raw with tensions already running between Stephane and Foley.
