The Royal Rumble PPV is almost here. It is perhaps the most exciting event of the year which is entirely built on unpredictability. This year, the prestigious battle royal might turn out to be the biggest with a lot of big names added to the card. Plus, there should be at least some surprise appearances to make it a grand success.
As per reports from cagesideseats.com, the first surprise entrant of the Royal Rumble match might be none other than Samoa Joe. The former two-time NXT champion is sidelined from NXT events for quite a while now. It is highly speculated he is waiting for the green signal of the creative to debut on the main roster.
All sources suggest this man is almost confirmed to make a surprise entry to the Rumble match. Inquistr.com reported that Samoa is the one who is booked against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. So, he’ll eliminate the Deadman from Royal Rumble to set up the bout.
On the other hand, rumors also suggest Samoa might make a surprise appearance during the WWE championship match between AJ Styles and John Cena. He will cost Cena the match to set up a bout between the two at Wrestlemania. So, it is evident whatever the WWE has in store for him, he’ll have a mega match at Wrestlemania.
Veterans like JBL or Paul Heyman stated on the ‘Bring It To the Table’ show that it is the right time to bring the Samoan Submission machine to the main roster.
Another teaser has been given by Kenny Omega stating that he might enter into the Royal Rumble match, making all speculations come true. As reported by Givemesport.com, the former NJPW star has given an autograph to a fan with the ‘#30’ sign written on it.
This gave birth to the rumors that he is going to be the number 30 entrant. Ever since the Wrestle Kingdom event is done, he is heavily rumored to make his debut in the WWE. We’ll have to wait till January 29 to see if it’s true or not.
