Big Cass was on the verge of getting a huge push, last year following his heel turn on Enzo Amore. It was after Summerslam when he was about to get a solo run on the roster, in the main event picture, perhaps. This man deserved to be on the scene, for sure.
But, a huge roadblock was waiting for him down the road, as he ruptured his knee badly during a match on Raw. He landed hard on the mat on his knee to shatter it and get sidelined, post-Summerslam. After the initial diagnosis, he was forced to undergo surgery and was taken off the WWE TV for an indefinite time.
In the bygone superstar shakeup, he was back in the scene, which was quite expected. Before the Wrestlemania season, reports were out stating he might have recuperated from the injury. So, the only thing that was holding him back returning to live TV was the creative teams green signal. That was given on last Tuesday Night.
If the recent reports are to go by then, a big push is reserved for the returning one. Cass will be directly be involved in the main event scene, going forward. The indication was given with this past episode’s altercation against Daniel Bryan. He confronted the former GM in a backstage segment.
Furthermore, Big Cass returned to the main event segment, later the night to deliver an ambush to him. It confirmed that a feud is evident between these two. According to the reports of cagesideseats.com, this is a straight way push to this superstar who is back onto the scene after a long time.
Going forward, he is supposed to go up against AJ Styles soon. In case, the reigning champ can retain his title in the feud against Nakamura then Styles vs Big Cass will be turned into a title feud. The young heel can’t expect more in his career after coming back.
It is good to see him getting the abrupt push that is much delayed. The former partner of Enzo Amore has all the tools to cement himself, as the main event superstar.
Hopefully, he will be given a solid run to do that. Rivalries with the top names of the Smackdown brand will do wonder for his upcoming career.
