This past week on Monday Night Raw, we had witnessed the Big Show competing in the main event match against Braun Strowman. Although he is considered to be a guy who’s battered and bruised after performing over two decades in the WWE, he managed to fly like a cruiserweight in the match. It was worth a watch to witness him delivering a flying elbow to the mountain among men.
That was not enough though to put Strowman down, as he came back with full force and defeated the giant with a running power slam. Plus, he put Big Show through the walls of the steel cage which gave us a mark-out moment. Following the incident, the world’s largest athlete was down for a significant amount of time.
A video footage was released on the WWE Youtube channel which showed that Big Show was not able to get back to his feet on his own. So, the officials and medical persons came down to help him get out of the arena on their shoulders. The audience gave him a standing ovation chanting “you still got it”.
Now, witnessing him in such an outstanding match might hint that he is still much fitter just like his older days. But recent reports are suggesting entirely different. He might have to go under the knives shortly.
just a fyi – hearing big show is getting surgery for a slight hip issue very very soon. expect a braun mauling finish tonight. #RAW

The possibility was dictated by John McKenna of Pro-wrestling sheet. On Twitter, he stated that his sources informed him that Big Show is slated for a hip surgery. He is dealing with it for quite sometimes and needs to fix it.
Hence, it is being speculated that Strowman putting him through the wall was just work. It would help him to stay away from the WWE TV for quite sometimes starting from next week. In this span, he might undergo the needed hip surgery and return when his body allows.
Till now, we have not received any update on the Big Show’s condition from the WWE. Probably, the situation would be addressed in the next edition of Raw. It is also to be noted that his contract with the WWE will be up in February 2018. So, he might retire from in-ring competition, after that.
