WWE Rumour: Brock Lesnar to Retain his Universal Championship at No Mercy 1

Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman were part of this year’s Summerslam main event which was a fatal-4-way affair. Apart from these two, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe were also part of the match, as well.

But, it’s needless to say none, but both of them stole the show on that night that forced the creative to book them into the storyline, going forward.

Strowman turned out to be the only one in recent times who was able to manhandle the champion. Nobody before him was able to treat Lesnar like a ragged doll that he did for two consecutive nights. At Summerslam, the beast incarnate was forced to leave the arena on a stretcher, whereas, the next night on Raw, he was lying on his back after digesting two running power-slams from the mountain among men.

Quite expectedly, the WWE Creative booked these two behemoth superstars into the WWE Universal Championship match at the No Mercy PPV. Even the champion and his client admitted the fact no one deserves a single championship shot more than Strowman, at this point. He is untouchable, right now who can be considered the hottest property in sports entertainment.

So, the question is whether WWE will crown him with the title at the upcoming Raw-exclusive PPV or not. While previous rumours suggested mountain among men is the favourite heading into the match, recent ones suggest there will not be any title change at No Mercy.

According to the reports from cagesideseats.com, Brock Lesnar will retain the Universal Championship. He might continue to hold on to the title for a long time to set up another inevitable match against The Big Dog, Roman Reigns.

However, even if Strowman loses the upcoming title match, he would look stronger by some post-match actions that are likely to keep him in the title picture. It would be another assurance from the officials to protect the inhuman character of this monster.

With that being said, it is quite certain we would witness the main event between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 34. This match was planned even before this year’s Mania and is not likely to change, at all.
