WWE Rumour: Dolph Ziggler’s Career To Be Over, Soon 1

Dolph Ziggler took part in the triple threat United States Championship match at the Clash of Champions PPV. The former champion, Baron Corbin defended it against him and Bobby Roode in a match that turned out to be quite an exciting one. In the end, it was Dolph Ziggler who pulled off the victory to become a two-time US Champion.

This was supposed to be a resurrection to the veteran WWE Superstar’s career which is lacking the significance for the better part of the year of 2017. He featured in a lacklustre feud against Shinsuke Nakamura following the Wrestlemania season that took him to nowhere. After this, he was kept off the WWE TV until involved in a rivalry against Bobby Roode, in the fall.

He ended up losing this one too playing the role of a jobber that is given to him for the last few years. So, this title opportunity came out of nowhere to him, and he capitalised on it, big time at the last PPV event of the year 2017. This was a must-win contest for him to prove his relevance to the Smackdown locker room. So, it was expected that we might get to see an exciting championship celebration on this week’s episode.

However, that did not turn out to be the case as the segment ended in a bizarre way leading to a big question mark to his WWE career. The show-off started his promo by showing replays of the memorable moments from his WWE career. Since his past in the WWE is quite illustrious, it was fun to relive those moments.

Going forward, Dolph Ziggler went to belittle the fans watching Smackdown that they do not deserve to witness him as the champion since he is too good for this. Then he dropped his title in the middle of the ring and decided to walk out of the ring. WWE.com did not give any explanations for his actions and simply stated:

“After reminding the WWE Universe of what he’s done and who he is through the vintage clips, Ziggler claimed the WWE Universe didn’t deserve him, then took the United States Championship off his shoulder, placed it in the middle of the ring and left without saying anything in a very odd moment.”

Considering that his career was in jeopardy for a long time now, the fans started to think this was the indication of an end to his WWE stint, legit. Hopefully, we will get to know, more on this shortly.
