For the recent few weeks, Smackdown Live has witnessed poor turnout by the audience. They were unable to sell out the last bygone PPV, Hell in a Cell, as well. The lack of major superstars on the show is a definite reason behind the same as well as poor buildups on the storylines, as well. In recent times, the creative heads might be putting up efforts to make that up.
As part of that, WWE might have sent a mail to the subscribers of the WWE Network which might be a hint to the upcoming storylines on the blue brand. Apparently, this was a tease of the upcoming rivalries by asking the fans of the new feuds they wish to see in the near future.
According to those sent emails, the WWE Championship scenario will revolve around Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles. The latter one already had some segments with the WWE Champion and expects to build up the bad blood against the Modern-Day Maharaja to challenge him for the prime title.
This only supports the earlier prediction done by Dave Meltzer that The Phenomenal One will be the next contender for the WWE title. So, following the Survivor Series PPV, Styles will continue to pick up the momentum to make his presence felt in the main event picture.
The current top heel on Smackdown right now is none other than Kevin Owens who will get a fresh feud at the end of this year, as well. He is expected to pick up a feud against Randy Orton. This should be an interesting one since we have never witnessed a full-fledged rivalry between these two marquee players.
Another top name, Shinsuke Nakamura is supposed to pick up a fight against the best friend of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn. The underdog from the underground has recently turned into a heel persona. So, it would be his first big feud after the character transition against none other than the King of Strong Styles.
Also, Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode are expected to continue their feud with the blue brand. Their match at Hell in a Cell was expected to be a one-off match. But, it looks like they would drag it going into the Survivor Series PPV.
