Asuka has joined the main roster in recent times. There were major hype-ups around the Empress of Tomorrow debuting on the flagship show. She lived up to all of those at the Raw-exclusive PPV, TLC on October 22nd. She faced Emma in her debut match which turned out quite competitive and entertaining one.
Going forward, she defeated Emma, the former WWE employee, once more on Raw following a squash win against a local talent on the last week’s edition of Raw. Considering these successes, it is evident that the former NXT superstar is going strong upon her debut on the main roster, but there’s some jeopardy on her status at Survivor Series.
As we all know, there will be two traditional 5-on-5 tag team matches the last dual brand PPV of the year. One of those matches will comprise of the female superstars from both the brands alongside the women’s Champion vs Champion match between Alexa Bliss and Natalya.
Till date, we know that Alicia Fox is the captain of the female team from Raw, whereas, Nia Jax qualified via a win against Bayley, last week. Three more spots are left on the red side which is supposed to be filled up on this upcoming edition of Raw.
Asuka is a smart choice to take part in the contest, but the officials are reportedly in a dilemma whether to give her a chance in the match or not. According to the reports from The Dirty Sheets, the creative teams from Raw and Smackdown are in disagreement, as to how Asuka should be used in this match.
Apparently, the Raw women’s team is considered to come out as the losing side which means Asuka might have to take a pinfall or submission elimination which would harm her unbeaten character. So, the officials are not quite sure about what should be done with this young lady.
The outcome of the match might also be changed depending on Asuka, in particular,
“If this result is changed, it’ll be solely changed to cater for Asuka and may result in other matches being changed to solely keep her unbeaten.”
We have to wait till Raw goes on air, this week to learn more about this situation.
