On the internet, you can always find fake rumours or memes that keep suggesting about CM Punk returning to the WWE, in the near future.
This is due to the fans’ urge to witness him back into the squared circle, again. On a weekly basis, we could hear the CM Punk chants from the crowd on both Raw and Smackdown whenever they find a boring segment.
The former WWE champion might be the only one who has been receiving more acceptance than ever since the day he decided to leave the WWE, for good. Following his route, his wife, AJ Lee has also left the business one year later after him.
The Straight Edge Superstar tried his luck in the MMA business, as well. But a devastating loss in his debut match barred him from reappearing in the Octagon, as well. On the opening night in UFC, he suffered a loss against Mickey Gall who was able to defeat him in a record two minutes and 15 seconds. Punk was completely unconscious after being choked by his opponent.
Ever since then, WWE has found a way to bring a mockery out of Punk, always. Even Stephanie McMahon did the same in a segment from WWE Raw where the show took place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago. The company has always stayed away from mentioning his name on the social media accounts considering the lawsuit ongoing between him and the company, until now.
Recently, after a long time, WWE posted a video on their Youtube channel mentioning the name CM Punk. It was from his match from Elimination Chamber 2013 against The Rock where he failed to regain his lost WWE title.
This might be done in order to joke around Punk, once again. But, considering the strict policy of the company, this is not likely. In recent times, the former superstars were only mentioned whenever they were contacted by the WWE for a return. The Hardyz and Goldberg are the biggest examples of them.
For a long time now, fans have been dying to see CM Punk back in the WWE for one more time. Just for the fans, the company might be giving it a try to make the unthinkable happen, at this time, it’s just a rumour, again.
