WWE Rumour: The Hype Bros to Split Up, Soon on Smackdown Live
Sep 15, 2017 at 5:30 PM
The Hype Bros were supposed to be one of the best tag teams of Smackdown Live following the brand split, last year. They were part of the NXT tag team division for a better part of 2015 and 2016 before coming to the main roster of the company.
Both, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley were drafted to Smackdown Live to become one of the top babyface teams on the list.
They were supposed to be in the tag team title picture, very soon. As expected, they also became the contender for the championships, sooner during the fall of last year. But, unfortunately, Zack Ryder suffered an injury that sidelined him for more than six months from Smackdown. The smooth stint for the Hype Bros was soon over.
Since then, Mojo Rawley has been neglected from the storyline perspective, and his chances of getting a success on the main roster were doomed. Chance was created partially by making him the winner of the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal winner, this year. But, no notable angle was created for him, till date.
At this time, he might expect to get a push in singles career considering what transpired on this past edition of Smackdown Live. Ryder and Mojo returned to the show after a long time to compete in a match against Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable. But, unfortunately, they ended up losing the match.

It’s not always about IF you win or lose. Sometimes it’s about HOW you win or lose. Either way, we gotta be better than this. @WWE #SDLive pic.twitter.com/fFZxirfbAP

Gotta be better than that. Disappointing. @WWE #SDLive

Being the two babyface teams on the roster, both the teams shook their hands after the match. Quite interestingly, Ryder denied to do the same and walked away from his partner. Aftermath, the two also indulged into a Twitter conversation which hinted a heel turn for the former tag team champion. It would also end the partnership between the two of them.
If this angle gets continued, then it would certainly open a new chance for the young Mojo Rawley to get promoted on the food chain in the roster. He needs some big wins in the future and hopefully will get it over a feud against Ryder shortly.
