WWE Raw’s viewership is likely to get a massive boost on the next episode. This week, a historic announcement dragged all the attention from the pro-wrestling industry.
McMahon family introduced us to the all-women Evolution PPV event. The next episode might witness a considerable return that can suck attentions just like that.
None other than The Rock is under speculation to come back on WWE Raw. We got a first hint of the comeback on an episode of No Holds Barred Podcast. WWE Worldwide 2.0 Facebook page brought the update that the all-time greatest player is returning to the flagship show.
The next episode of WWE Raw will take place at the American Airlines Center in Miami, Florida. It is the hometown of The Rock where he made one last appearance in 2016. It looks like the same arena will witness the inevitable comeback. WWE officials have reportedly been in talks with The Great One for an appearance.
As per the source, the talks might have been a positive one. So there’s a great chance of seeing him on WWE Raw after more than a couple of years. It can be helpful to raise the ratings of the show just three weeks before Summerslam. There’s no update on the capacity of this appearance though.
The Rock made his last TV outing on behalf of WWE at Wrestlemania 32. He made a record on that night by defeating Eric Rowan in just six seconds. Since then, we have not seen him in a squared circle. This will be a big news for the WWE Universe if he does appear on WWE Raw.
Plus, we anticipate in hearing an update on his wrestling career. Speculations are going on about his future in the WWE. His appearance can bring clarification to those. Recently, The Rock intended to be back to in-ring capacity for the WWE. Here are his words while promoting his movie Skyscraper, (courtesy stillrealtous.com),
“I can’t wait to get back into the WWE ring. Everybody always asks me, ‘what’s it like being in a WWE ring?’ I always tell them there’s nothing like it. There’s a certain live crowd acumen; there’s great connective tissue that’s second to none. That was, and will always be the best part of my job, whether I’m actually wrestling a match, or just giving a promo. That connection with the audience, there’s nothing like it.”
