WWE Rumour: The Undertaker to Compete Multiple Times, This Year
The Undertaker was over with in-ring competition at the Wrestlemania 33. Roman Reigns handed him the toughest loss of his career, till date. This was about to send him to permanent hiatus which was broken by John Cena’s call, this year. So, after one long year, the Deadman returned to the squared circle.
Moreover, this emphatic comeback raised hopes for the fans – to see him more in wrestling capacities, going forward in this year.
Proving the rumours right, The Undertaker was introduced into the match card of the Greatest Royal Rumble event on the WWE Network.
Undertaker competed against Rusev in a casket match that is named after him. Quite obviously, the Bulgarian Brute was victimized by the Phenome.
Going forward, we might see him more in competitions, if a reliable source is to go by.
According to the reports of PWStream, the Undertaker will make more in-ring appearances, this year in comparison to the last couple of years where he was only seen in Wrestlemania matches.
“The hope backstage is that The Undertaker will be willing to wrestle more frequently, potentially up to four or five times this year,” the source maintained.
Already, we have seen him competing in a couple of matches. But, that is not likely to hold him back for more appearances as he might wish to feature in some more.
The seeds of the same might have already been planted in his match against John Cena.
The latter one suffered a squash against the Phenome. Subsequently, it is an indication that he will come back seeking vengeance, at one point. This will set up a rematch between these two either at Summerslam or next year’s Wrestlemania.
The notable part is that The Undertaker returned in the best shape of his life. He had a successful hip surgery, last year.
Overcoming that, he has returned to the squared circle to conquer some more names in the near future. The ultimate benefit will be the WWE Universe who can get to see their favorite wrestler for several occasions, this year.
