WWE Rumour: Women Wrestlers to be Allowed to Wrestle in Saudi Arabia 1

The women’s revolution came to an abrupt halt at the Greatest Royal Rumble show in Saudi Arabia. It will always be one of the biggest sports entertainment events in the middle-east countries.

Names like John Cena, Triple H, Undertaker, Daniel Bryan, Kurt Angle entertained the fans like never before. But there was not a single female superstar on the show.

Saudi Arabia does not allow females to take part in sporting events. There are certain barriers present for the women superstars even if the country is changing. WWE gave the night off to the entire female roster. It was a way to stay out of the controversies.

This move came as a debatable decision taken by the officials. Fans were upset, as they could not see their favourite female stars. The women’s revolution has lost its relevance after this happened. The COO of the company Triple H had to come up with an official statement following this.

There’s a chance that the women superstars can still perform on their soil later this year. It can happen only if Saudi people keeps co-operating. We heard a declaration that women can take part in sporting/non-sporting events in the country.

So the pro-wrestling community is hopeful that names like Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Alexa Bliss, Asuka and more can perform in Saudi like the other male stars.

There’s a project going on undertaken by the government of the country named vision 2020. It aims to change the lifestyle entirely for the country’s people. They should get a balanced lifestyle which includes each of the facilities they deserve. Check out some of the excerpts from the official site of this visionary project,

“Quality of Life Program 2020 is one of the Vision Realization Programs of Saudi Arabia 2030.

It aims to improve the lifestyle of individual and family and to build a society in which individuals enjoy a balanced lifestyle, by setting up the environment necessary to support and provide new options that enhance the participation of citizens and residents in cultural, entertainment and sports activities.

The achievement of the Program objectives contributes to create many jobs and to diversify the economic activity, aiming to include Saudi cities within the list of the best cities to live in the world.”

WWE set a record by letting the women compete in a wrestling match. Alexa Bliss competed in a championship match against Sasha Banks breaking the barriers. They should be able to make history yet again.

WWE will come back to this region in November. By that time, we will get to know whether the women superstars will come back, here or not.
