WWE Rumour: Women’s Money In The Bank Is Not Happening Probably 1

As per the earlier reports, the WWE creative was planning to arrange a first-ever women’s Money in the Bank match ladder match for the 2017 edition of the PPV.

It would be yet another historical move for the women’s division, for sure. The female performers have gifted us with some of the most gruelling matches in recent memory. So, they deserved to get some more, for sure.

Plus, the match was much needed for the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV considering it needs to fill up the card for that night. The WWE championship match and the ladder match for the briefcase would reserve all the prime superstars for that night.

Hence, the other names for the brand should be utilised in a big way so that they can be given a spot in a PPV match.

So, at least two matches from the women’s division are expected for June 18th. One match would be for the women’s championship. Naomi is set to defend her title against the soon-to-be-crowned number one contender for her title. Plus, the women’s ladder match was supposed to be the second one for the night.

As per the recent reports from cagesideseats.com, the second one might be pulled off from the card, for now. The creative booking always keeps changing and this time it’s not anything different. The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match is not happening at the upcoming Smackdown-exclusive PPV.

This is for the second time in the year that the match has been called off due to some reasons. Previously, during this year’s Wrestlemania, a ladder match was planned to comprise some of the former WWE female superstars. However, that never did come to fruition.

In the case of this one, WWE creative feels that the storyline and line-ups available in the Smackdown women’s division do not a matchup of the calibre of the inaugural women’s ladder match.

The reason is quite understandable, as stated previously. If Naomi and one member of the Welcoming Committee get involved in the championship match, then the division is left with only four other competitors. This means that the match would happen with only four female superstars which are not an ideal scenario, at all.
