WWE News: More Update on the Future of the Singh Brothers 1

Following a past episode of Smackdown Live, the status of the Singh Brothers is in quite a jeopardy.

They were seen getting attacked by the mentor, Jinder Mahal on the show which started the rumours of a split up in the next episode. It was inevitable considering the Modern-day Maharaja is no more the WWE champion on the blue brand.

There’s a storyline ongoing between AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal over the WWE Championship on Smackdown Live. These two have been involved in a feud for quite sometimes that caused in the Phenomenal One snatching the championship away from the India-native champion in an episode from the United Kingdom.

This certainly gives a chance to claim a rematch for the former champion. Jinder Mahal wanted to invoke the rematch clause at the Clash of Champions PPV and will get it on December 17th. It is supposed to be the main event of the Smackdown-exclusive event on that night. However, the Singh Brothers won’t be providing backups to their mentor.

According to the reports of cagesideseats.com, a split-up is evident after Jinder attacked his protégés on Smackdown with the Khallas move. But, the duo might not get fired from the company. Rather, they might just get utilised in another way. It might be due to WWE focusing on grabbing the Indian market for quite sometimes.

Another update from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested they will go in different ways from Jinder Mahal and might end up on the NXT roster. They will either continue to work as a tag team or else they might get introduced to the 205 Live roster, as well where they will compete as a singles performers.

Considering they have been under a strong booking with Jinder by their side, this is not going to be a permanent solution for the duo, for sure. Hence, they will be temporarily performing on one of these two rosters before the officials come up with new things around them Before coming to Smackdown Live, they performed in the Cruiserweight division under the name of the Bollywood Boyz, previously. This gimmick might get recreated, as well.
