After a massive Raw after WrestleMania, now it’s time for the WWE SmackDown after WrestleMania which should also bring a plethora of surprises. Now, a couple of segments for the upcoming edition have been announced that would contain new champions coming out of the Show of Shows. They will be making a maiden appearance on the blue brand with their belts.
The Raw After WrestleMania 39 saw the newly crowned WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley confronting Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair to tease a potential blockbuster match possibly in a Champion vs. Champion scenario. Both of them won their respective title matches at WrestleMania and the face-off was quite interesting.

Now, Rhea Ripley has officially been announced to return on WWE SmackDown to claim her throne, this Friday night. She defeated Charlotte Flair to win the gold at WrestleMania 39 to clinch the blue brand women’s title. Plus, this win also marked her maiden win at a PLE against The Queen. That’s not all as the Nightmare has now become the only true Grand Slam Champion in WWE’s Women’s division history.

New tag champs will also be appearing on WWE SmackDown
The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will also be appearing on WWE SmackDown after winning the titles at WrestleMania 39 against The Usos. They have already successfully defended their titles against The Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins at the RAW After WrestleMania.
In an official statement on the website, their appearance was confirmed on WWE SmackDown,
“In an incredible main event showdown on WrestleMania Saturday, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn brought the WWE Universe to a frenzy when they overcame The Usos in the first-ever Tag Team Title main event in the history of The Showcase of the Immortals and snapped the seemingly never-ending reign of Jimmy and Jey!
Still charged up from their electric triumph, the new titleholders will journey to the blue brand! How will best friends Owens and Zayn celebrate their epic win? Find out on SmackDown, this Friday at 8/7 C on FOX.”
No other matches or segments have been announced for the April 7 episode of WWE SmackDown but fans can expect some exciting moments with the new champions making their presence felt on the show to take over the territory. With the 2023 Backlash Premium Live Event waiting in merely four weeks’ time, these champions are likely to move on to the next feuds. Plus, there should be some post-WrestleMania surprises.
